The Banjul American Embassy School (BAES), founded in 1984, is an independent, coeducational day school offering an educational program from preschool through grade 8 for English-speaking students of all nationalities.    The school year extends from late August to mid- June with approximately 185 days of instruction.

Curriculum
The curriculum is American-based and all instruction is in English.  In addition to the core subjects of language arts, math, science, and social studies the curriculum also includes instruction in art, computer, French, music, and physical education.  The School is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
